Should I buy a new iPod??

So my iPod is a 4th generation 32G and the sound has been broken for a little over a half a year. It's not completely broken just sometimes I have to push down on it because I can't hear the voice part of the songs and stuff. But this happend recently: I bought a lot of songs straight off of the iPod (didn't use itunes via my computer) and it deleted one of my albums and a few songs and screwed up the album covers. I am thinking of taking it in but I feel like the cost wouldn't be worth it. So should I just buy anew ipod? P.S-i don't know if this makes a difference but I've had it for 2 years
