"Friendly" coworker talking behind my back?

Being that you are going to have to work with her for a while you could politely ask them to stop it, you can tell them there is no reason to talk behind my back because it gets around to me anyway. Let them know that if they have a problem with you they should be adult enough to let you know what it is and you can make the appropriate decsisions,
