HELP!!!My phone wont charge. (A Sony Ercisson Xperia X10) It suddenly stopped charging.?

So I read that buying a new charger and/or battery may make it work. So I may buy anew battery but i dont know if that will affect it in everything? In other words will it do any good?! HELP!!!!
